Prayer
The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that prayer is a gift from God: a covenant relationship and communion between God and man in Christ (CCC 2558 - 2565).
Developing a vital prayer life is essential to the Christian life, and it can be compatible with everyday life, too - just 5 to 10 minutes of quiet time each day to start with is fine. You can pray right here and now, as you sit at your computer, using any of the prayers in the right-hand Section Navigation bar, or by visiting the Sacred Space website to pray with the help of on-screen guidance and scripture chosen daily.
"It is possible to offer fervent prayer even while walking in public or strolling aone, or seated in your shop,...while buying or selling,...or even while cooking." St. John Chrysostom
If you're interested in developing your prayer life further, visit the Parish Organizations page and check out the
Charismatic Prayer Group.
Prayer Request
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
